برگردان یک لوح در مورد مقام امام حسین

The Tablet is revealed by Baha’u’llah and is section number 19 from
La’aaliyul H.ikmat Volume 1

[19]

هو الله تعالى شأنه العظمة والكبرياء

يا أَيُّها السَّاكنُ فِي الْحَدْباءِ، اسْمَعْ نِداءَ هَذا الْمَظْلُوْمِ
الَّذِيْ سُجِنَ فِي الْعَكَّاءِ، ثُمَّ اذْكُرْ أَيَّامَ الَّتِيْ جَعَلُوا
الْغافِلُوْنَ آلَ الرَّسُولِ أَسارى، الَّذِيْنَ اسْتَضائَتْ بِوُجُوهِهِمُ
الْيَثْرِبُ وَالْبَطْحاءُ، إِلى أَنْ دَخَلُوا فِي الدِّمَشْقِ الْفَيْحاءِ،
وَكانَ بَيْنَهُمْ سَيِّدُ السَّاجِدِيْنَ وَزَيْنُ الْمُوَحِّدِيْنَ، قِيلَ
لَهُمْ ءَأَنْتُمُ الْخَوارِجُ، قالَ لا وَاللهِ نَحْنُ

عِبادٌ آمَنَّا بِاللهِ وَآياتِهِ وَافْتَرَّ ثَغْرُ الإِيْمانِ بِوُجُوْهِنا
وَأَماطَتْ ظُلُماتُ الأَكْوانِ بِوُجُوْدِنا، بِنا ارْتَفَعَ سُرادِقُ
الْعِرْفانِ وَشُيِّدَتْ أَرْكانُ الإِيْمانِ، قِيْلَ أَحَلَّلْتُمْ ما
حَرَّمَهُ اللهُ أَوْ حَرَّمْتُمْ ما أَحَلَّ اللهُ، قالَ لا وَاللهِ نَحْنُ
أَوَّلُ مَنِ اتَّبَعَ أَوامِرَ اللهِ، قِيْلَ أَتَرَكْتُمُ الْقُرْآنَ، قالَ
نَحْنُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ فِيْنا نُزِّلَ الْقُرْآنُ وَمِنَّا ظَهَرَتْ
آيَةُ الرَّحْمنِ وَعِنْدَنا مَعانِيْهِ وَأَسْرارُهُ وَمِنَّا ذِكْرُهُ
وَانْتِشارُهُ، قِيْلَ فَبِأَيِّ جُرْمٍ ابْتُلِيْتُمْ، قالَ لِحُبِّ اللهِ
وَانْقِطاعِنا عَمَّا سِواهُ. وَالْيَوْمَ يُنْكِرُوْنَ النَّاسُ أَعْمالَ
الَّذِيْنَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْ قَبْلُ وَيَظْلِمُوْنَ أَشَدَّ مِمَّا ظَلَمُوا
وَهُمْ لا يَشْعُرُوْنَ، كَأَنَّهُمْ أَمِنُوا اللُّحُوْدَ وَضَمِنُوا
الْخُلُوْدَ، لَمْ أَدْرِ فِيْ أَيِّ وادٍ يَهِيْمُوْنَ، أَما يَرَوْنَ
يَذْهَبُوْنَ وَلا يَرْجِعُوْنَ، أَما يَعْلَمُوْنَ غَدًا يُسْئَلُوْنَ وَلا
يُفْدَوْنَ، إِلى مَتَى يَجُرُّوْنَ أَذْيالَ الْهَوَى وَيَمُرُّوْنَ أَتْلالَ
الْغَوَى، تَاللهِ لَوْ عَلِمُوا ما وَراءَ الْفَدامِ مِنْ كَوْثَرِ عِرْفانِ
رَبِّهِمُ الْعَزِيْزِ الْعَلاّمِ لَنَبَذُوا ما عِنْدَهُمْ مِنَ الأَوْهامِ
وَاشْتَغَلُوا بِذِكْرِ الأَعْظَمِ فِي اللَّيالِي وَالأَيَّامِ، نَحْنُ
بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَمَنِّهِ راضٍ بِقَضائِهِ وَلا يَمْنَعُنا الْبَلايا عَنْ
حُبِّهِ وَلا الْقَضايا عَنْ ذِكْرِهِ وَلَوْ يَجْتَمِعُ عَلَيَّ مَنْ عَلى
الأَرْضِ كُلِّها بِرِماحٍ نافِذَةٍ وَسُيُوْفٍ شاحِذَةٍ، لا يَسْكُنُ لِسانِيْ
عَنْ ذِكْرِ اللهِ، وَإِنَّكَ فَكِّرْ ثُمَّ انْظُرْ فِيْما وَرَدَ عَلى
أَوْلِياءِ اللهِ فِيْ أعْصارِ الْخالِيَةِ وَما وَرَدَ عَلَيْنا فِيْ هَذِهِ
الأَيَّامِ الْمُظْلِمَةِ، فَسَوْفَ تَعُطُّ يَدُ الْغَفُوْرِ جَيْبَ هَذا

الدَّيْجُوْرِ وَإِنَّهُ كانَ لِلضُّعَفاءِ مُعِيْنًا، نَسْئَلُ اللهَ بِأَنْ
يُقَرِّبَكَ إِلَيْهِ وَيَرْزُقَكَ خَيْرَ الدُّنْيا وَالآخِرَةِ وَيَجْعَلَكَ
مُعِيْنًا لِعِبادِهِ الضُّعَفاءِ وَمُوَفَّقًا عَلى ما يُحِبُّ وَيَرْضَى
إِنَّهُ عَلى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيْرٌ وَبِالإِجابَةِ جَدِيْرٌ.

He is God, exalted be His Station of Majesty and Grandeur

O thou who art resident in Mosul [al-H.adbA›]! Hearken unto the Call of this
Wronged One Who is incarcerated in the Prison City of ‘Akka; then recall the
days when the heedless ones made captive the Family of the Apostle of God
(Muh.ammad), that Family through the light of whose countenances Mecca and
Medina were both illumined. They brought as captives the Family of the
Prophet to Damascus [al-Faih.A]. Amongst the imprisoned ones was the One Who
is the Master of those who prostrate themselves before God, the Ornament
[Zayn] of all the believers in Divine Unity (the Imam Zaynu’l ‘Abidin, the
son of the Imam Husayn).

It was said to them [the Captive Imam and His Family]: «Are you Kharijites?»

The Imam replied: «No. I swear by God! We are but servants who have believed
in God and in His verses. The countenance of true belief has become radiant
because of the light of our face and the darkness of this world of being is
dissipated because of our presence. Through us the tabernacle of divine
recognition has been upraised and the pillars of certain beliefs have become
strengthened.»

It was said to them again: «Did you render lawful [h.alAl] what God has
ordained as unlawful [h.arAm] or did you forbid that which God made
acceptable?»

The Imam replied, «No by God we are the first ones to follow the
commandments of God.»

It was said to them again, «did you abandon the Qur’an?»

He made reply: «We are in truth the Household of the Prophet and amongst us
the Qur’an was revealed. Through us the verses of the Merciful have
appeared. The meanings, the significances, and the mysteries of the Quran
are with us. Remembrance of the Qur’an and its promulgation is because of
us.»

It was then said to them, «Because of what infringement have all these
afflictions and calamities been meted unto you?»

He replied: «Because of our love of God and our detachment from aught else
but Him.»

In this day people condemn the deeds of those who opposed before and yet
they perpetrate more grievous deeds than that perpetrated aforetime and yet
they remain unaware. Is it that they are rendered safe and secure from death
and the grave or is it that they have been guaranteed immortality? I know
not in what meadow they are roaming. Do they not see that they will depart
hence and never return? Do they not realise that tomorrow they will be asked
of their deeds and they shall have no ransom? How long will they gird
themselves with the garment of self and desire? How long will they drift and
wander lost in the fields of error? I swear by God if only they knew what
lies behind the seal of that bottle which contains the Kawthar of the
knowledge of God, the Almighty, the All knowing they would of a certainty
abandon their vain imaginings and be entirely engaged with the Most Great
Remembrance in their days and nights. We, by the grace of God, however, and
through His bounty are content with and acquiescent to his decrees. All
tribulations and calamities will not prevent us from making mention of Him
even if all the peoples of the earth are arrayed against us armed with
sharpest arrows and cruellest swords. Under all circumstances My tongue
unceasingly makes mention of God.

As for thee ponder and reflect upon that which befell the Friends of God in
bygone centuries and what is befalling us now in these darksome days. Soon
will the hand of the all forgiving God remove this stygian darkness for He
is verily a sure helper of the weak ones. We beseech God that He may draw
thee near unto him and vouchsafe unto thee the good of this world and the
world to come and that he may make thee to be an aid unto his helpless
servants and confirmed in that which He wishes and desires. Verily He is
potent over all things and He is meet to answer prayers.
